No one was happier than I to see St. Patrick’s day parties resume post-pandemic, and nobody does St. Patrick’s Day on Maui like Mulligans on the Blue. Mulligans, as it is known by Maui locals, is owned by a real Irishman and Maui transplant named Mike O’Dwyer. Their menu features authentic Irish food as well as an extensive selection of Irish whiskey and beers.
One vacation can change your life. That’s what happened to Randy Wolfe when he visited first visited Maui from his native Canada in 1980. He immediately fell in love with the Valley Isle and resolved to return as soon as possible. Randy continued to vacation to Maui in the following years, always making a few friends and connections along the way.
Maui Happy Hours was recently invited on the Reef Dancer to tour the underwater world off the coast of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. Our tour on the Reef Dancer was narrated by Campbell, a nice fellow who was super knowledgeable about the coral reef and aquatic life. As soon as we departed the harbor area, the water became surprisingly clear and made everything easy to see all the way to the bottom.
Southshore Grindz is one of the newest restaurants in Kihei and is quickly becoming a favorite of Maui locals and visitors. They are located at 2439 South Kihei Rd, Suite 107A, in the Rainbow Mall, directly across the street from beautiful Kamaole Beach. Southshore Grindz was started by Maui locals and restaurant industry veterans Charlie Seibert and Harneet Dhillon, who set out to “create a place that locals, residents, and visitors come together to enjoy the food from the island and forget their worries and relax.”
La Perouse is one of the places that I always take family friends who are visiting Maui. And each time I go there, I swear I won’t wait so long to return. I recently hiked the Lava Fields at La Perouse with some friends from the mainland and wanted to share my photos with the users of Maui Happy Hours.
