PHOTOS: St. Patrick’s Day at Mulligans Irish Pub
No one was happier than I to see St. Patrick’s day parties resume post-pandemic, and nobody does St. Patrick’s Day on Maui like Mulligans on the Blue. Mulligans, as it is known by Maui locals, is owned by a real Irishman and Maui transplant named Mike O’Dwyer. Their menu features authentic Irish food as well as an extensive selection of Irish whiskey and beers.

One vacation can change your life. That’s what happened to Randy Wolfe when he visited first visited Maui from his native Canada in 1980. He immediately fell in love with the Valley Isle and resolved to return as soon as possible. Randy continued to vacation to Maui in the following years, always making a few friends and connections along the way.

Maui Happy Hours was recently invited on the Reef Dancer to tour the underwater world off the coast of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. Our tour on the Reef Dancer was narrated by Campbell, a nice fellow who was super knowledgeable about the coral reef and aquatic life. As soon as we departed the harbor area, the water became surprisingly clear and made everything easy to see all the way to the bottom.

We had a blast trapesing around downtown Lahaina, checking out the Christmas lights on the Banyan and the old courthouse, and getting the updated happy hour info (as well as a drink or two) at Down the Hatch. Highlights included a gorgeous sunset, a rainbow, and a few whale splashes from McGregor Point.
