“Chris is hands down the best bartender I’ve ever met by far!! I’m super picky about customer service, but he went above and beyond on every level. He didn’t just stay behind the bar yet he ran food, made sure everything went beyond perfection, and was all ears, even on a busy night like Christmas day. The coolest, most professional, and genuinely accommodating bartender 🫶🏽 I’ll be there on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays whenever I can just to have his excellent service.”

“We had a reservation which is a must here, and visited the restaurant at 3:45 PM for happy hour. We tried the famous Monkeypod Mai Tai and it was delicious. In addition to the Mai Tai we also tried the ‘Three Dogs and a Cat,’ but it was just okay and the Mai Tai was our favorite. From the happy hour menu we ordered roasted chicken 🍗 wings, Parmesan truffle fries 🍟 , and the mushroom and truffle pizza 🍕 and all the food was quite tasty. For dessert, we ordered the Coconut 🥥 Cream pie 🥧 , which was just okay. I would definitely recommend visiting Monkeypod Wailea during happy hour and making reservations well in advance.”

“My wife and I went to Monkeypod for happy hour and ended up returning 2 more times throughout our stay on Maui. We were fortunate to get Bill as our server on 2 occasions who was AWESOME. He provided great service and was very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to engage with. The food was incredibly delicious and so well executed! “We went for happy hour. They have one of the best happy hours on the island. Make a reservation and sit at the bar! Service is quick and efficient. If you enjoy cocktails, the Mai Tai is always a winner. It’s strong, beware 🙂 Other drinks we tried and loved- Three Dogs and A Cat and the Nightwalker.
I love that these are not your typical tropical drinks and they aren’t overly sweet. For food we had the roasted chicken wings. The wings were so flavorful and the dipping sauce was amazing. My husband had the ahi poke tacos. It’s like sushi in a fried taco shell. So good! I had the fresh fish tacos. It was grilled Mahi and so flavorful. I could live without the margherita pizza, but it served its purpose.
Our bartenders were fantastic! If you don’t have a reservation, expect a wait.”

We have been to Monkeypod Kitchen twice with Sharie server 1st time and Maddie the 2nd time..both were excellent and the foods & beverages are delicious. We made ” Happy Hour” 1st time but the 2nd time we had to wait over an hour and missed by 15 minutes.!
why are there no open tables from 5-9 every night through late October?
Monkeypod Wailea is OPEN and rocking their famous happy hour from 3:30pm to 5pm daily. Monkeypod is one of the most popular restaurants on all of Maui and all you have to do is go there to find out why. Mahalo to the staff at Monkeypod Wailea for the amazing happy hour. Closed until further notice according to their website. I hope they can reopen as their happy hour is fantastic and that mai tai…exceptional!
We just updated the happy hour info for Monkeypod Wailea Maui so I can vouch that not only is this happy hour AMAZING but it is also 100% accurate as of today (April 30, 2019.) I’d like to mention that Monkeypod often has multiple live music acts a day and the view here is phenomenal. Maui locals know this as the place to get the best handcrafted Mai Tai on the island.
