“This restaurant is located near the Maalaea Harbor in Maui. The food at Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant exceeded my expectations. After an early morning of whale watching, my wife and I were starving, having rushed out the door to make it to our meet-up spot at Boss Frog’s, located just downstairs in the same shopping center.
By the time the restaurant opened at 10 AM, we were more than ready for a good meal. As soon as they welcomed guests inside, we were seated at a comfortable spot under some fans, with a beautiful ocean view.
The peaceful ambiance made for a perfect setting to enjoy our lunch. For my meal, I ordered the chicken Caesar salad with a refreshing glass of water, while my wife opted for the steak and lobster with a side of french fries.
Her steak was cooked to perfection, and while I don’t eat lobster, she assured me it was absolutely delicious. The french fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful, making them a great addition to her dish. Every bite we had was satisfying, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Beyond the food, the overall experience at Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant was fantastic.
The service was top-notch–attentive, friendly, and efficient, leaving nothing to be desired. The ambiance was exactly what you’d hope for in a restaurant with an ocean view–calm, scenic, and relaxing. What more could you ask for? If I ever find myself in Maui again for another whale-watching adventure, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience from start to finish, and I truly appreciate the excellent food, service, and atmosphere.

New happy hour specials at Tante’s Maui! As you can see, these are some of the very strongest and most affordable happy hour specials and daily specials on the entire island.
And as I’ve said many times before, this is also one of the best views you will find in all of Maui.
I love having drinks at Tante’s while looking out at the boats and people coming and good in the harbor.
It’s an awesome place to go after a day on the water snorkeling Molokini or whale watching, which we do quite a bit.
Definitely check out the happy hour at Tante’s the next time you’re on Maui.

So happy that Tante’s is back open! You seriously cannot beat this view or this happy hour. One of the best on Maui for sure.
If you’re going to be on Maui for Thanksgiving or New Years this year, you’ll definitely want to check out what’s going on at Tante’s. That Thanksgiving buffet sounds absolutely delicious, and you know the party for NYE will be on fire. Mahalo to Mike from Tante’s Maui for sending over the flyers (see above).
