Reviews from Paia Bay Coffee & Bar Maui Happy Hour

“This establishment was exceptionally well-appointed, featuring a sophisticated ambiance that set the tone for a delightful dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the attention to detail in the decor and the overall layout, which created a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu was diverse and appealing, offering a wide range of options to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the salmon bagel, which was prepared to perfection with fresh ingredients and a flavorful combination that was both satisfying and enjoyable. The salmon was tender and well-seasoned, while the bagel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it a standout dish. Additionally, the coffee was of high quality and complemented the meal beautifully, providing a rich and aromatic finish that enhanced the overall dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to assist in making the best choices. Overall, this establishment exceeded my expectations and offered a memorable dining experience that I would highly recommend to others.”

“Great vibes, service, and trivia. The mahi mahi plate was excellent, and so were the drinks. The buffalo chicken sandwich wasn’t our favorite but everything else made up for it.”

“Great pit stop for the road to Hana drive It’s about 15 mins from the airport and 1 hour from the Westin Maui Coffee is good Parking is paid but plenty Clean , great bar and good coffee”

“Stopped by Paia Bay Coffee Bar on the way to Road to Hana. Grabbed a cold brew, cinnamon bun, and breakfast sandwich. When I tell you this is the best cinnamon roll-type pastry I’ve ever had, I’m dead serious! Usually, when I order a cinnamon roll at a bakery, it’s been sitting out and is dry. This one was the flakiest, lightest, most delicious thing. I wish I had a dozen! Coffee was amazing too and the breakfast sandwich did not disappoint.”

“We went to Paia Bay Coffee and Bar early afternoon on a Monday. Lots of room in the dining area, a couple good cocktails, and some killer “Hurricane Fries” as they called them. I would definitely recommend trying those if you’re chilling in the area.”

“Just walked in for a drink, but stayed to listened to the live music. The service was great and welcoming especially with draught Guinness, which was very good. The food was also very good!”

“Great place for a bite to eat, coffee or drink. Food was very good, fresh. Brian gets a special mention and deserves a raise. Obvious to see he loves his job. A very thoughtful individual who understands service plus one. Thank you Brian.”

“I love this coffee bar in Pa’ia! The lavender lemonade iced tea was delicious. I came back on another day waiting for the shops to open and treated myself to another. Delish! The wait staff was super friendly!”

“My husband and I stopped by here on a whim because dinner didn’t work out at the fancy place down the road. Best decision we stumbled into tonight and the night is still young. Good prices, good music and great vibes. Best things are around the corner.”

“We needed to kill some time before going to the airport so we drove up to Ho’okipa Beach Park. Since we hadn’t had breakfast we decided to stop in Paia to get coffee and maybe a light breakfast. I googled coffee and found that this place was open.

We walked into a courtyard, but couldn’t really tell where the restaurant was. This gentleman outside told us to go right on in, the coffee was great! And it was! lol Our server was Cabrilla, she was very sweet and helpful.

The place had maybe a dozen tables, a small area for live music and a few tables outside off the courtyard area. I had a very nice Flat White (made me think of my trip to Sydney), my sweetie had coffee black and we both had an open-face egg sandwich, I had mine on a croissant, he had his on a bagel.

I can’t remember what it was, but there was a light drizzle of something over the sandwiches that was very tasty. Service here was excellent, quick and friendly.

If you are doing the Road to Hana after 7:30 a.m. stop by here for a quick bite..I’m not sure we will ever make it back to Maui, but if we do, we will stop by the Paia Bay Coffee Bar.”

“Cute coffee and light breakfast place, tucked into a verdant secret-garden. The coffee is quality and the breakfast is filling but won’t weight you down. The price is standard for the island, $40 for x2 breakfast plates, x2 coffees, + tip. Payment is touch-free, done via QR codes on your phone. I appreciate this touch greatly!”

“Stopped here as we begin our Road to Hana adventure. Follow the signs to find this hidden gem. This location is like none other and incomparable to anything in the Midwest United States. A outdoor coffee shop with nearly 95% covered for shade.

A cool breeze makes it a wonderful atmosphere. Live music throughout the week. A variety of coffee and other beverages are available as well as a unique food menu.”

“We had the best breakfast at Paia Bay Coffee Bar. It was so good that we had to come back during our one-week trip. First time I had the scrambled eggs with bacon. They say it’s a famous dish and I couldn’t agree more.

The eggs were cooked to perfection! The side salad has a papaya dressing which is really good, too. My husband had the smoked bagel and couldn’t stop talking about it.

The second time we came he had the same since was so good. On our second visit, I had the bacon avocado bacon, amazing! The everything bagel is great, not heavy and a delicious combination with the avocado, tomato, and onions. Both days we had the banana bread, first with chocolate chip and the second one plain.

I highly recommend this place! If you’re doing the Hana Road trip for the day or the Haleakala park, it’s a perfect place to have breakfast before you go.”

“This cafe is just awesome. Incredibly cozy feeling sitting area, with the counter, register, and a live music stage all under the fun thatch roof and lights. This is one of my favorite spots in Maui, and it’s not even on the beach.

Friendly staff, lots of food available as well, with beer and wine too. Definitely recommend this place for anyone stopping through Paia who needs a coffee or snack, love this spot. Cold brew was great, too.”
