About Hanohano Pool Bar by Kihei Caffe at Maui Coast Hotel

Kihei Caffe has been a local legend since 1998, known for its hearty local breakfast, large portions, and friendly service. Now Kihei Caffe has opened their newest location at the Maui Coast Hotel. Some of you may remember that this is the former location of Ami Ami restaurant and the Maui Coast Poolside Bar.

Guests at the new Kihei Caffe can enjoy the same legendary food from the original location, in a comfortable, open-air atmosphere in a convenient location on South Kihei Rd.

Then on the poolside bar area, patrons enjoy sipping cocktails and enjoying appetizers as well as live music by local Maui musicians in the evening. Kihei Caffe at the Maui Coast is open to the public, meaning you do not need to be a guest at the hotel to dine there.

Happy Hour at Kihei Caffe at Maui Coast Hotel Poolside Bar is from 3pm-6pm daily and features discounted beer, wine, cocktails, and appetizers.

Reviews from Hanohano Pool Bar by Kihei Caffe at Maui Coast Hotel

“Kihei Caffe took me by surprise in a big way. It’s on the property of the Maui Coast Hotel and I didn’t realize this was one of several locations. This particular location has a small group of hard working and friendly people dishing out some incredible food. During our trip, we ate here for breakfast several times and missed it after we left Maui. Everything was well executed and consistent between several visits.”

David K., November 2023

“Excellent service from the ordering hostess to the servers. Atmosphere is a very open area with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Food was delicious! Prices are higher than most breakfast/lunch restaurants but at the same time, you get what you paid for.”

Corina M., October 2023

“Food was delicious and quick. We got breakfast and now have fuel for the rest of the day, as the portions can be immense.”

Kayla M., October 2023

“The new Kihei Cafe at the Maui Coast hotel is excellent. Lots of parking and really nice ambience with the open air dining. The food is still good diner style breakfast.”

Brad L., November 2023

“This restaurant is conveniently located next to the Maui Coast hotel and the food was ono!!!”

Larry Z., October 2023

“I had the Loco Moco with kalua pork and it was the best I have had. Food was delivered to us in just a couple of minutes. My wife had fried rice and it was very good as well.”

“Awesome breakfast burrito and parfait!”

Galamir P., October 2023

    1. The unofficial answer is no, you do not need to be a guest to use the pool, at least in my experience, as long as you are ordering from the bar. I’m not sure if that is allowed or just tolerated. I don’t think they serve you poolside though. Mahalo for commenting! – Russell, Maui Happy Hours team

  1. I had a great time at Kihei Coast Poolside Bar! The happy hour specials were great and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

  2. Drink Specials Vary daily; Sunday Liquid Brunch featuring fresh-squeezed juices and Self-Craft Bloody Mary Bar. Head to the Maui Brewing Co.’s NFL Brunch to watch your favorite teams on one of their nine flat screen TV’s.

      1. Ok-stopped twice here and just stopped at Maui Brewing Co all in person and no one knows anything about a liquid brunch here or even a Bloody Mary bar in Kihei. All point me to Charley’s in Paia. If any one has different information, please post. Mahalo.
