“Beautiful views, friendly wait staff took photos of us and even found me a flower to wear in my hair. Try the Kung pow calamari. It’s a different take on an old classic. Also try the emperors rice, which is made with coconut milk and is delicious. They make a good Mai Tai and a good Pina Colada. The apps and entrees are the highlights. Dessert is tasty, but not as high quality as the rest of the meal. Gather was one of the best places we ate. No regrets.”

“Excellent sunset dinner with beautiful views of the ocean. This restaurant is located within Wailea Golf Club, which is a beautiful property overall. Friendly and attentive service from our server Cody throughout the evening along with the delicious food made for a nice memorable evening.
Food quality and taste were good, as expected for a restaurant of this caliber – bbq pork ribs with slaw & pineapple salsa, Korean marinated strip loin with fried rice and cucumber pineapple salad, classic iceberg wedge salad. Nice Asian flavors fused into the steak and ribs. We enjoyed the dinner! Their famous coconut roulade dessert was ok- nice crumb on the cake and cream filling was good, but toasted coconut didn’t come through only plain coconut flavor.
Great cocktail menu, very creative selections. Cocktails were excellent, strong, especially Mr.Tuttle and Strawberry Fizz.”

Just went for happy hour yesterday. Draft beers are now five bucks and the land apps are 14 now. Don’t remember what other pieces changed.
I just did happy hour at the Red Bar at Gannon’s Restaurant in Wailea, Maui for the first time last night and WOW. Firstly the view from Gannon’s is phenomenal. Panoramic ocean view with incredible sunset view. There was literally a wedding taking place out front when we arrived, that’s how beautiful it is.
Note that Gannon’s is located at the Wailea Golf Club, so you’ll see the sign for Wailea Golf Club with Gannon’s Restaurant written underneath it on the same sign. That’s where you turn. It was a quick $13 Lyft ride for us from north Kihei.
This is one of the longest happy hours on Maui, going from 3pm-9pm. The atmosphere in the Red Bar is very classy, with a 3-sides-with-bar-stools rectangular bar setup and a hand full of bar tables surrounding it. Very tasteful and modern decor. You can see the ocean and the sunset from the bar itself, although the best views are from the tables outside.
I’m a beer drinker so I was in love with the $4 pints. Gannon’s has several local selections from Maui Brew Co. and Kohola Brewery. My lady friend enjoyed the Wailea Sea Spritz and the Pina on the Rocks cocktail.
Food wise the favorite for all was the Red Curry Mussels. I am a curry fanatic, worldwide curry sampler, and this was some of the best red curry sauce that I’ve encountered. I could’ve eaten a bucket full of the sauce by itself. We also tried the onions rings, which were hand-breaded and delicious. The truffle mac and cheese was a close second for best dish of the night.
Lastly, the service was impeccable, particularly the gentleman bartender that was working for the first half of our stay. I definitely recommend the happy hour at the Red Bar at Gannon’s Restaurant, and I personally will be returning there soon.
