About La Poblana Mexican Restaurant Happy Hour
In the heart of Kihei lies a vibrant Mexican restaurant that’s quickly becoming a favorite among locals and tourists alike: La Poblana Mexican Restaurant. Located at 362 Huku Lii Pl, Ste 101 and open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hour, this establishment is a delightful blend of traditional Mexican cuisine and the laid-back charm of Maui.
Upon entering La Poblana, visitors are greeted by a lively and colorful interior that perfectly encapsulates the festive spirit of Mexico. The decor seamlessly combines traditional Mexican elements with tropical touches, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and authentic. The restaurant also boasts a cozy bar area, ideal for those looking to enjoy a drink and some light conversation.
La Poblana’s menu is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Mexico. Some standout dishes include the flavorful Shrimp Tacos, the rich Birria Tacos, and the ever-popular Eggs Benedict with a Mexican twist. The smoky chipotle salsa, in particular, has garnered rave reviews and is a must-try for anyone looking to experience the true essence of Mexican flavors.
One of the highlights of La Poblana is its daily happy hour from 2pm-5pm. This offers Maui patrons the perfect opportunity to sample a variety of dishes and drinks at special prices. It’s an ideal setting for both winding down after a day at the beach or gearing up for an evening out in Kihei.
The restaurant has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from its patrons. Many commend the friendly and efficient service, the freshness of the ingredients, and the reasonable pricing. An interesting note is the restaurant’s choice to serve steamed rice for breakfast. While it might be a departure from traditional Mexican or Spanish rice, it’s been well-received and adds a unique touch to the breakfast offerings.
La Poblana Mexican Restaurant is more than just a dining establishment; it’s an experience. From its vibrant decor to its mouth-watering dishes, it offers a slice of Mexico in the heart of Maui. Whether you’re a Maui resident or a visitor to the island, a trip to La Poblana promises a culinary journey that’s both delightful and memorable.
According to these La Poblana Happy Hour patrons
“Nice casual place to get some good Mexican food. They have a lot of vegetarian options and are reasonably priced.”Spandana G., August 2023
“Really really good tacos, and the staff was excellent as well, would definitely come back here and bring my customers here as well.”Jonas P., August 2023
“Stumbled upon this place as we headed to Kihei from the airport. It came up as a restaurant along the route to our rental place and we are so glad it did. The food was excellent. I tried a lot of different fish tacos while visiting Kihei but none came close to the Mahi mahi tacos at La Poblano. We enjoyed the food so much we made a point of having dinner there on our way back to airport when it was time to fly home.”Jordan G., August 2023
“Food was spot on. Mahi mahi tacos were great and my wife really enjoyed the chicken. Great food and reasonable prices.”Devin R., July 2023
“We loved our food and my drink (margarita) with patron tequila was the bomb! My mom loved her tacos de lengua and I had the quesabirria tacos. The desert was tasty, we had flan and churros. Delicious! Good service and lovely atmosphere.”Tammy R., July 2023
“A friend and I went here for breakfast. First of all, the coffee is fresh and delicious. We had huevos rancheros, she with beans and I with potatoes. I’m from Texas so for me, the food was like coming home, perfectly done, and just delicious. There was so much that I had to take half of it home for lunch! The place was pretty busy, but our waitress took wonderful care of us. We are definitely coming back.”Kani M., August 2023
“This restaurant is one of Kihei’s hidden gems! I’ve been here for dinner before and had the carne asada wet burrito with the most amazing Verde sauce! Today we came for breakfast for the first time. The churro bites are out of this world! Made fresh when we ordered, sweet, crunchy on the outside and soft inside ..YUM! We shared huevos rancheros, which our server recommended, and it was soooo good!! Finished off with flan which was creamy and served with sliced strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. If you’re craving good Mexican food, good service and a nice atmosphere, come to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!”Amy G., July 2023
“Onolicious! Took me a while to try this place as I didn’t want to be disappointed. Then a friend from Mexico said the food is legit and now I’m a regular customer. And they serve great breakfast (both Mexican and ‘merican). Chilaquiles yo! The only place on the island that serves chilaquiles!”Julienne G., July 2023
