Founded in 2023, the new Wailea Sunset Luau is quickly becoming the go-to option for south Maui visitors and locals seeking a unique and fun dining and luau experience in Wailea, HI.
Located at Mulligans on the Blue, Wailea’s well-known Irish pub and event venue, Wailea Sunset Luau features elevated, panoramic ocean views beneath a sky that explodes in a smorgasbord of colors each evening at sunset.
Guests to Wailea Sunset Luau are treated to a delicious buffet, including vegetarian and kid-friendly options, paired with fresh tropical cocktails and some fun mocktails for the kids.
The master of ceremonies then guides guests through the history of the luau and its cultural significance to each individual culture within Polynesia including Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, and more, while dancers in full traditional costumes give a high-energy performance that is unique to that specific culture.

“Yes, I highly recommend this Luau! The view is amazing, the food was delicious, and the performers were so talented. I thought it was a great value because all the luaus at the hotels are much more expensive but less of an intimate experience.
I went on a rainy week and although the situation was challenging for the planners with the indoor / outdoor seating and stage, it was perfect because they had a backup plan in place and were very flexible. They even offered rain ponchos to those of us who preferred the outdoor seats.
The rain stopped before the show so it was never an issue but we were happy that they thought everything through. I’m so happy I supported a family owned business instead of a large corporation!”
