It has been the greatest pleasure serving our community, ‘ohana, and visitors over the past two years. Today, July 25 is our last day of operation.
As the voyage comes to an end, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our customers and our entire team for allowing Huihui to be a part of your lives. Whether you dined in to celebrate an occasion, came to support our talented musicians and dancers, or even just stopped by to say ‘aloha’ to our team members, your love and support has made this journey unforgettable. About:
Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel’s new beachfront restaurant pays homage to the longstanding tradition of Hawaiian wayfinding.
Meaning “star constellation” or “to join, intermingle, mix,” Huihui’s menu is a blend of local flavors and features signature items with Hawaiian-inspired cooking methods or ingredients. We integrate the three definitions into our commitment to Community, Culture, and Cuisine.
Huihui sources from Maui-based suppliers when possible including Aliʻi Kula Lavender Farm, Hāliʻimaile Distillery, Hua Momona Farms, Koholā Brewery, Maui Bees, Maui Brewing Company, Maui Oma Coffee, Molokai Wildlife Management, and Valley Isle Kombucha.
The culinary team at Huihui restaurant is led by Chef Muromoto. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Tom Muromoto, executive chef at Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel, takes cues from the Islands’ unparalleled ethnic diversity and his professional surfing days and combines them with the hotel’s dedication to Hawaiian culture to create a style of Hawaiʻi Regional Cuisine that is truly his own.
According to these recent Huihui diners:
“Great food, view, atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.”

“Came here 3 times this week and they were all great! For breakfast we had the French toast and a mimosa. Definitely try the the coconuts and the ube syrups! So good. For lunch we had fish sandwiches and the waygu beef burger which was also great. I didn’t love the fish sandwich but my brother was obsessed with it.
We had the banana bread ice cream sandwich for dessert and it SLAPPED. for dinner we had the crispy pork belly and the lobster dumplings which were so good I could have eaten them every day and ended up wishing I had! Mark and John L were both super fun and great waiters! Also You can’t wear swimsuits here, you do need coverups.”

“The staff was very friendly. The fruit juice tasted VERY fresh! Only a few vegetarian options on the menu though, but I’m not too picky. I ordered the half-size purple yam french toast with ube drizzle, everything tasted great. This is the first restaurant I’ve eaten at that doesn’t have side walls, so the open air was very refreshing.”

“Obsessed with this restaurant would be an understatement! Without a doubt the best meal we had in Hawaii. The food was fantastic. Such an outstanding ambience. The live music was fantastic. Our server was unbelievable! We mentioned it was our honeymoon and, to our surprise, he jazzed up the dessert we ordered & then made it complimentary. We loved our experience here!”

“Nice spot on the beachfront connected to the Kaanapali beach hotel. Mostly fusion or Asian flavors on traditional US dishes menu, great service.”
Saima H., May 2022
“What an amazing restaurant. This is how a beachfront restaurant should be. The food is delicious and plentiful. The price? Honestly is comparable to many large cities. The service is friendly and attentive. They have great fish from the same morning. The breakfast is great too. But they really have a killer beachfront view for almost every table. Abel and George were our servers and were fantastic.”

“We come to Maui every year and decided to try this new restaurant at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We were very impressed. Great setting on the beach and perfect for sunset. Live Hawaiian music and dancers added to the vibe. Food and drinks were excellent. Definitely try the fish carpaccio. What made the night great was our server Oliver. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was super patient with us and our pace. This is now our go to spot moving forward. Aloha!”

“Hands down one of the best places I ate at during my trip to Maui. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and updated. Pricing on all menu items were very comparable to other restaurants in the area. All seating had a great view of the water and live music. I also wanted to say I do appreciate restaurants that have beautifully plated food. Your eyes are the first thing you eat with. Each item on the menu you can tell was well thought out and planned. Appetizers and entrees were amazing. I would recommend this restaurant and would eat here again! All entrees came with a choice of mashed potatoes or rice!”
