“Thought we wouldn’t get in but just so happened the sushi bar had a couple of seats. Best thing ever. We talked to the chef. He recommended the Ka’anapali Roll. Alone this stood out as a fabulous dish. Generous portions of hamachi.
We also had the No aka ‘Oi’ roll. Slightly dipping this in the smoked soy sauce added that extra depth to an already tasty tuna and kampachi build up. I am a bourbon fan.
So I ordered the Islay Time thinking maybe the bourbon and whisky would cancel each other out. But the combo actually started out great and lasted the whole way through dinner as the right alignment with the rolls.
Macadangdang is going to be an anchor place for my family and I every time we visit for the holidays. I can recommend this place enough.”

“First off Macadangdang is awesome. Chef Joey really has done it! I had the opportunity to have the sushi and let me tell you that it was really good. I didn’t get a chance to have the whole menu yet but I will soon. The place is really nice and the bar was great.
The service is exceptional. You have to make reservations cause it gets booked fast definitely a place to take your love one for a date. Chef Joey and his wife Juvi really put a nice touch on the inside with everything around you having meaning on Life and tell a story.

“Macadangdang, more like maca dank dank. Some of the most fresh and flavorful fish I have ever had. This place is absolutely fantastic and leaves zero room for improvement. Every dish we ordered was impeccable, my favorites being the baked scallops and the hamachi carpaccio.
We were on Maui for just over a week and came here twice because we just couldn’t get enough. Don’t skip the ube cheesecake for dessert.
It’s one of a kind and fantastic. Will be recommending this place to everyone who is coming to Maui. Thanks to the amazing staff for making our thanksgiving one to remember!”

“This place (Macadangdang) is EXQUISITE! First off, everyone was very attentive. Our server Emilie was wonderful, we had a few folks check on us throughout our meal, and Chef Joey came over to chat at the end of our dining experience as well.
Now on to the tasty stuff!! We ordered an array of things to try – a cocktail, a non alcoholic beverage, 2 appetizers, an entree, a sushi roll, and a dessert item.
Each plate brought out was impressive, beautiful, and (most importantly) absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend you give it a try. When the bill came, I was shocked with how reasonable the price was. We will certainly make this a must-stop every time we come to Maui.”
